Terms of Use

Last updated 19 August 2026 · Applies to Tayli™ Move and all Outer Meadow apps

The part that actually matters: Tayli Move is a fitness tracker, not a medical device. Everything it shows you is an estimate from your phone's sensors. Do not use it to make medical decisions, and talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise routine.

1. Health and safety

Tayli Move estimates distance, pace, elevation and calories from your phone's GPS, barometer and motion sensors. These are estimates and they can be wrong. GPS drifts under trees and between tall buildings, barometric readings shift with the weather, and calorie figures are calculated from generic formulas that know nothing about your individual physiology.

Nothing in the app is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and the app is not a medical device. Consult a doctor before starting or changing an exercise routine, particularly if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or have been unwell.

Pay attention to where you are going. Do not operate the app while driving, and keep your eyes on the road and your surroundings rather than the screen. You are responsible for your own safety and for choosing routes appropriate to your ability.

2. Your licence to use the app

Tayli Move is free. Downloading it from the App Store grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to this app as Apple's standard terms. These terms sit alongside it.

You may not resell the app, or attempt to extract its source in order to pass it off as your own.

3. Your data is your responsibility

Everything the app records stays on your device. There is no account and no backup on our side, which means if you lose your phone, delete the app, or lose the device without a backup, that data is gone and we cannot recover it. Export a backup file if your history matters to you. How data is handled is described in full in our privacy policy.

4. No warranty

The app is provided "as is". We build it carefully and use it ourselves, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate in every circumstance. Nothing here excludes any right you have under consumer law in your country, which cannot be signed away.

5. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Outer Meadow is not liable for injury, loss of data, or other loss arising from using the app. Because the app is free, any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid for it.

6. Changes

These terms may change as the app does. The revised version will be posted here with a new date, and anything that meaningfully affects you will be noted in the app's release notes.

7. Governing law and contact

Outer Meadow operates from the European Union, and these terms are governed by the law of the country in which the studio is established, without affecting the consumer protections available to you where you live.
